Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his burrow Friday morning to deliver his yearly decree.

The groundhog did not see his shadow, which means a prediction that an early spring is on the way, according to tradition surrounding the holiday in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

The crowd was enormous and, as you can see in the photos above, enamored with the fuzzy marmot's prediction. It's a fun day for the people who live in and travel to Punxsutawney for the annual occasion, but according to NOAA's records, Phil is wrong more often than he's right.
