Area To Watch Near FL Now Up To 40% Chance Of Development

The latest update from the National Hurricane Center shows a slight increase in the chance of development for an area of interest near Florida. There is still potential for an area of low pressure to develop along a stalled front, which could eventually strengthen into a tropical or subtropical depression this weekend or early next week. Regardless of development, heavy rain looks likely across Florida and parts of the Southeast coast this week into the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.
