Area To Watch Near Florida Headed Toward Gulf

The National Hurricane Center is now watching an area located near Florida for possible tropical development. Heavy rain could lead to flooding across Florida Wednesday and Thursday, as this low moves across the state and into the Gulf. Conditions could become more favorable for development if this area of low pressure can remain over the Gulf before moving inland by the weekend. Regardless of development, the flood threat shifts from Florida to the northern Gulf Coast by the end of the week and into the weekend.
