Tropical Activity Ramping Up In Eastern Pacific

The tropics are starting to come alive on the Pacific side, southwest of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center says formation is likely during the next several days, as conditions become more favorable for development. We could potentially see our first storm of the eastern Pacific season, with the formation of Alvin this week. As of now, most forecast models show the storms staying just offshore as it travels north, along the coast of Mexico. However, changes to the forecast over the next few days are possible.
