Hurricane Erick Now A Strengthening Category 2 Near Mexico

Hurricane Hunters have found high enough maximum sustained winds to make Hurricane Erick a Category 2 just a day before it moves through Mexico’s Guerrero and Oaxaca states with heavy rain, dangerous winds and the potential for mudslides. Erick could become the season’s first major hurricane.
