The National Hurricane Center is still keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm Dexter and two areas to watch in the Atlantic Ocean. Dexter is moving away from the U.S. but is still producing a higher threat for rip currents along the mid-Atlantic beaches. Closer to home, an area of low pressure is expected off the Southeast coast and a tropical depression could form by the end of the week into the weekend. Regardless of development, an increase in tropical moisture will keep the Florida, Georgia and Carolina coasts wet this week. A tropical wave near Africa has a chance of developing into a tropical system later this week. The next name on the list is Erin.
