The Forecast Cone Doesn’t Tell The Whole Story

The cone of uncertainty is a useful tool for tropical forecasting, but it doesn’t tell the whole story of a system’s impacts. Winds, surge and rainfall can occur and be most impactful well outside the forecast cone.
