Tracking Invest 93L: Louisiana Flood Threat Increasing

While the chance of Invest 93L developing into a tropical depression is decreasing, the flood threat across Louisiana and Mississippi is increasing Thursday and Friday. Flood Watches are in effect and include New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Gulfport and Biloxi. Tropical downpours could produce rainfall rates in excess of 2-4 inches of rain per hour, and rain totals could reach up to 10-15 inches in isolated spots across the watch area. Please have a way to get warnings, especially at night and avoid driving into floodwaters.
