Tropical Depression One-E has finally strengthened into Tropical Storm Alvin. The latest track has Alvin moving northwest before weakening as it approaches Cabo San Lucas this weekend. The main impact from this storm will be the potential for rain and storms across the Desert Southwest as an upper-level low pulls this tropical moisture northward into the U.S. Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque, and El Paso will see increasing rain chances starting Saturday night and continuing into Sunday and Monday.
