Watching Disturbance In Gulf For Possible Development

The National Hurricane Center is keeping a close eye on a broad area of low pressure now spinning in the northern Gulf. The chance of developing into a tropical depression is low, but not out of the question given the very warm Gulf water. However, the window for development will be short-lived as this disturbance will move inland this weekend. Regardless of development, tropical downpours could lead to flooding along the Gulf Coast through the weekend.
