A bout of severe weather played out in the warmer air ahead of Winter Storm Finn from Texas to the Carolinas and Florida.

S​everal tornadoes have ripped through the Gulf Coast and Southeast, as noted by the red markers below. Damaging wind gusts and some hail has also occurred as this squall line pushed eastward through the South.

An 81-year-old woman was killed when a suspected tornado ripped her mobile home off its foundation, in Cottonwood, Alabama.

L​ikely tornadoes hit before dawn in the central Florida panhandle near Panama City Beach and Marianna, causing extensive damage and some injuries.
