South, East Tornado Threat Expected This Week

A severe weather outbreak including tornadoes is likely to begin late Monday night. The highest threat for tornadoes is on Tuesday but the threat begins as far west as Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dallas,Texas. Then moves through cities like Shreveport and New Orleans, Louisiana, possibly delaying Mardi Gras events. This storm will continue through overnight hours bringing the heightened threat of overnight tornadoes to cities like Atlanta, Georgia. By Wednesday the threat lessens but could impact cities on the east coast from Washington D.C., to Charlotte, North Carolina and Savannah, Georgia.
