Central US: Severe Weather Packs Tornado Threat

A severe weather threat is looming across the upper Midwest and Plains to kick off the workweek, and the Storm Prediction Center is warning of the potential for strong, long-lived tornadoes and large to very large hail in addition to damaging winds. Major cities that could be impacted include Minneapolis, Chicago, Des Moines, Wichita, Omaha and Tulsa. The cold front causing the threat will shift on Tuesday into the Great Lakes, but the Southern Plains are stuck in a multi-day severe weather threat.
