These Are The Experiences US Travelers Are Booking Most This Spring, According To TripAdvisor

S​pring is a wonderful time to take a vacation. In fact, according to TripAdvisor, 64% of people reported they were planning to take at least one trip this season. Fifty percent of those travelers were most excited about the experiences they were planning on those trips. Many travelers book trips based on what type of experiences they'd like to have, and TripAdvisor's spring travel index lists some of the most popular travel experiences of spring 2023. Whether you're looking for affordable or luxurious excursions, you'll find an option for you. From outdoor adventurers to foodies to history buffs, there's something on this list for everyone.

10. Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tour, Las Vegas, Nevada

This full-day bus tour leaves out of Las Vegas and takes a two-hour drive through the Mojave Desert to the Grand Canyon’s west rim. This vantage point provides spectacular views of the Colorado River, as well as the canyon. Participants can upgrade to a guided walking tour once at the canyon or explore the trails on their own. The bus tour also makes stops at the Hualapai Ranch as well as the famous skywalk, a glass-bottomed bridge that extends 70 feet over the edge of the canyon. A VIP bus tour is also available, which includes more time at the canyon and a drive past Joshua Tree State Park.

This tour makes stops at some of the most famous restaurants and cafes in the French Quarter, and visitors will get to peek into the kitchens of local chefs and sample their wares. TripAdvisor recommends participants come with an appetite “for everything from beignets to brisket.”

The New York in One Day tour hits all the highlights, first via bus, such as Federal Hall, South Street Seaport, the 9/11 Memorial and Wall Street, and then via luxury boat, giving guests the opportunity to view Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. The tour ends with a stop at Lincoln Center and then Central Park.

Guests can take a guided tour of Charleston by horse-drawn carriage. Each route is different to avoid traffic, determined by a lottery system, but will span 30 blocks (2.5 miles) of the city. Passengers will learn about the city’s history, which spans more than 300 years, architecture and more from their informative guide. One great part of this tour is that children under 3 are free when they sit on a parent’s lap.
