Freezing rain duration: 4 to 8 hours, possibly more. Freezing rain amounts: 2 to 4 mm. Time span: this evening until early Saturday morning. Remarks: Snow and ice pellets will change to freezing rain this evening then to rain or freezing rain overnight. Precipitation will change briefly to snow before ending Saturday morning. ### Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery. Icy surfaces could be difficult to detect. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
