New York is gearing up for the Knicks championship parade — one that has been over 50 years in the making.

But could rain put a damper on the festivities?

The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. EDT today in lower Manhattan and travels up along Broadway until it reaches City Hall.

But, fans are already lining up.

Scattered rain showers are possible ahead of the parade, so definitely bring a rain jacket along with you if you haven't left yet.

The good news is that, even though clouds will linger, rain chances start to diminish at parade time.

Does this mean Mother Nature is a Knicks fan?

A ceremony is scheduled at noon, once the parade reaches City Hall, which should remain dry.

Temperatures will be in the 70s throughout the morning and early afternoon, but the humidity will make for muggy conditions.

But even with possible rain showers and sticky air, nothing will keep Knicks fans from celebrating such a momentous win.
