Soaring Temps Before Heavy Rain In Lone Star State

This week’s weather is going to be a rodeo for Texas: first temperatures are going to soar to potentially record-breaking levels before a surge of moisture from the Gulf causes heavy rain for much of southern Texas. Records for daily high temperatures could be set in cities like Dallas, Austin and Tyler. There’s also a late-week threat of flash flooding across portions of east Texas, including Corpus Christi, Houston, San Antonio and Victoria.
