Severe thunderstorms are expected to push through the upper Midwest on Monday with the threat of tornadoes, damaging winds and hail. Minneapolis, Des Moines, Kansas City and Omaha are most likely to see destructive weather at the beginning of the week. The threat shifts eastward on Tuesday. Along with the storms, a flooding threat will remain for Parts of the South and Plains through midweek. Record warm mornings are expected around the Great Lakes on Tuesday, then in the Northeast on Wednesday. Places like Detroit, Indianapolis, Boston and New York City could break records. By the end of the week, more rain and mountain snow will move into the western region. Here’s what to watch for as you plan the week ahead.
