Tropical Storm Melissa To Strengthen, Caribbean On Watch

Tropical Storm Melissa is set to steadily strengthen as the storm initially shifts to the west across the central Caribbean. This storm will then begin to slow down substantially, crawling northward toward the Greater Antilles over the coming days. Tropical storm watches are in place for Jamaica, while hurricane watches are in place for southwestern Haiti. Given the favorable environment for strengthening and slow movement of the storm, interests in Haiti, Jamaica, and the rest of the Caribbean will need to continue keeping a close eye on Melissa.
