S​weltering temperatures sent droves of tourists to a water park in Zhengzhou in China's Henan Province on Tuesday. Photos snapped from above show the crowded water as swimmers float in colorful inner-tubes to cool off.

Z​hengzhou was under an orange alert on Tuesday for heat, and the area reached temperatures higher than 98 degrees Fahrenheit this week. Some locations in China, such as other areas of Henan Province and Beijing, saw temperatures over 104 degrees, breaking records, CGTN reported. According to the NBCNews, the city reached 106 degrees Fahrenheit last week.

China's heat alert system has four tiers, with orange being the second highest level. Beijing reached the highest level of severity, red, for several days over the last week.

T​he country has seen record heat throughout the month, and t​he heat isn't over yet. China's meteorological center has forecasted high temperatures to persist well into the first week of July.
