WHO: Caitlin Kaiser, meteorologist

WHY: What's better than one fat bear? Four fat bears! This mother bear is known for being one of the biggest and most experienced at Brooks River, meaning she has been around the block a few times. Bear 132 knows how to keep her cubs safe and healthy, including helping them bulk up for the winter ahead. The fact that she could add on the pounds while also making sure her three cubs did too is downright impressive!

WHO: Sara Tonks, meteorologist

WHY: This bear has winning in her blood, as her mom is former two-time Fat Bear Week champion. 409 won the big prize in 2015 and 2018! Plus, she's bringing her own style to the competition, with blonde ears that look like she's rocking frosted tips.

Bear 610 and family

WHO: Miriam Guthrie, associate meteorologist 

WHY: I'm rooting for the underdog here. She has had to go through a lot of hardships in life and is still surviving! She started her life of independence earlier than most, likely from a sudden danger or accident that separated her from her mother early. Then in 2015, she was found with a large wound above her hips likely from an attack. But she has persevered, and now has her first known litter!
